Differences between traditional roasting machines and microwave roasting machines
Traditional roasting machines use converters or pans, which are cheaper but produce less good-tasting results than microwave equipment.
Microwave roasting is a new puffing technology. It uses microwaves for rapid heating, making moisture in materials quickly absorb microwaves and vaporize in a short time, achieving perfect puffing. It heats fast with short time, avoids unnecessary chemical reactions in materials (unlike extrusion/frying), adds no oil, and retains original flavor.
Traditional grain roasting is heat-conductive (surface to inside), with long time, hard grains, and uneven roasting. Microwave grain equipment, however, makes grains taste better: microwaves directly penetrate materials, heating inside and outside simultaneously with short time. Microwave-roasted grains puff more softly: microwave energy makes internal water molecules heat, vaporize, and expand instantly, denaturing polymer structures into multi-porous network structures. Besides, microwave equipment deodorizes and sterilizes by destroying enzyme activity in grains via biological and thermal effects.
